SHIPPING, DUTIES & INSURANCE


SHIPPING

We provide our international clients with 2 courier options.  For our national clients we only send via DHL due to their preferential national rates.
  • DHL EXPRESS is our preferred and trusted courier for its speed and premium service.  Delivery times are 2-3 days.  We send uninsured as standard.
  • MEXPOST EXPRESS is a more economic option run by the Mexican government and connects with your country's national postal service.  It is a fairly trusted instituion,  but does not quite offer the assurances of a premium courier.  Delivery times are 8-10 days.  Mexpost no longer offers insurance on international deliveries.
  • Insurance is not automatically provided and must be requested. We can only offer insurance with the DHL service.  The cost depends on the value of your order.  Upon confirmation of your purchase we will email you to offer you insurance.
  • We will provide a tracking number as soon as your shipping label has been created.
  • We will require your phone number, this is essential for international shipping.  We will not use it for anything else.
  • You must advise us immediately if you receive a faulty package, so that we can create a report with DHL or MEXPOST

DUTIES

  • Every country has a different import tariff policy and system.  Some countries have special agreements with Mexico, such as USA and Canada, limiting import tariffs.  Unfortunately, we cannot foresee if your destination will charge duties. 
  • If you need further information, contact your local authority.
  • Any incurred duties are to be paid by the customer.  By completing an order, you are agreeing to accept and pay any duties charged by your country's customs authority.  Declining the charges forces the return of the package and incurs extra costs for RM.

UNINSURED Vs INSURED 

  • We highly recommend that you insure your package when we provide you with the option.
  • WE CAN ONLY PROVIDE INSURANCE VIA DHL.
  • This way, if anything untoward were to happen to your order in transit, we will be able to claim full compensation on your behalf.
  • Packages rarely go missing or are damaged in transit, but it can happen!
  • Unfortunately, once the packages are dispatched, we cannot take full responsibility for any loss or damage, beyond the basic compensation from the courier. 
  • If you choose the uninsured option and something were to happen to your package, we will do everything possible to assist you to resolve the issue.   However, will not be able to provide you with compensation, other than what is offered by the courier.
